Dr. El Ashmawi is an Assistant Professor and Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Cairo university with more than 25 years of experience in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. El Ashmawi received his Masters degree in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1993 and his M.D. degree from Cairo University in 2000. Currently Dr. El Ashmawi is the Vice Director of Bedaya Fertility and IVF hospitals.
Dr. El Ashmawi is a former IT and HR Manager at Misr Dawli IVF center and a former Director in the Statistics and IT departments in various Cairo University Hospitals.
As a former Director of the Fetomaternal Ultrasound unit in Cairo University Hospitals he has 7 years of experience in the field of Assisted Reproduction Technology and is currently specializing in Urogynecology and Female Pelvic Floor Surgery and has over 15 years of experience in the field making him one of the most distinguished individuals in this specialty in Egypt. Dr. El Ashmawi specializes in performing uterine preservation surgery in cases with severe degrees of pelvic organ prolapse and specializes in minimally invasive pelvic floor reconstructive surgery. In addition, Professor El Ashmawi received his Master degree in Computer Science from the American University in Cairo in 2003 and was the only candidate with a medical background to receive this degree in Egypt. He masters the technique of software development and has registered a complete solution for integrated hospital management (IHM) in order to efficiently automate hospital systems.
Education: Dr. El Ashmawi received the General Certificate of Education (GCE) from the Britch Council in Cairo in 1981 and then obtained his Bachelor of Surgery and Internal Medicine at Cairo University in 1982. Dr. El Ashmawi completed his Master of Obstetrics and Gynecology degree at Cairo University in 1991 and in 1994 obtained his Diploma of Computer Systems and Applications at the American University in Cairo (AUC). In May 2000, Dr. El Ashmawi attained his M.D. in Obstetrics and Gynecology from Cairo University and finally in 2003 gained his Master of science in Computer Science at AUC.
